Description
Methodist Health System seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonographic procedures in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will operate ultrasound equipment, acquire and analyze high‑quality images, and collaborate with radiologists to support accurate diagnoses. Responsibilities include patient preparation, explaining procedures, maintaining equipment, documenting findings in the EMR, and following safety and infection‑control standards. Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety
Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and related imaging systems
Capture, analyze, and document images for radiologist interpretation
Verify patient identity and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Adhere to infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to coordinate patient care
Assist with quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and supply management
Support training and guidance for new staff or students as needed
Demonstrate compassion, integrity, and accountability in all patient interactions
Diagnostic medical sonography
Abdominal ultrasound
OB/GYN ultrasound
Vascular ultrasound (peripheral/venous)
Doppler imaging techniques
Patient positioning and body mechanics
PACS and EMR documentation
Infection control and safety protocols
Anatomy and physiology for sonography
Equipment operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting

Specialty registry (e.g., AB, OB/GYN, or RVT) preferred
