Description
Memorial Health in Savannah, GA seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. You’ll educate and comfort patients, maintain equipment, and follow safety and compliance standards. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety
Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions to promote comfort
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to review images and support accurate diagnosis
Document procedures, findings, and patient information in the electronic medical record
Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives
Diagnostic medical sonography (general and/or specialty exams)
Operation of ultrasound equipment and transducers
Image optimization and quality assurance
Anatomy, physiology, and pathology recognition on ultrasound
Patient positioning, care, and communication
PACS and EMR documentation proficiency
Infection control and safety protocols
Critical thinking and problem-solving in clinical settings
Collaboration with radiologists and clinical teams
Time management and workflow prioritization

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or eligibility within 12 months
Current ARDMS or CCI credential in relevant specialty (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular)

Proficiency with PACS and EMR systems
