Description
HCA Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic exams in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will operate ultrasound equipment, follow physician orders, and ensure accurate image acquisition for a variety of exams (OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, small parts). Responsibilities include patient preparation, explaining procedures, maintaining equipment, adhering to safety and infection control standards, and documenting results in the EMR. You’ll collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians, supporting compassionate, patient-centered care while contributing to continuous quality improvement and mentoring newer staff.Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders and departmental protocols
Position and prepare patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety
Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring image quality and proper settings
Capture, label, and document images accurately within the EMR/RIS/PACS systems
Collaborate with radiologists for image review and additional imaging needs
Follow infection control, patient safety, and radiation/ultrasound safety standards
Maintain exam rooms and equipment, reporting issues and coordinating service as needed
Assist with on-call, weekend, or evening coverage as scheduled
Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to accreditation standards (e.g., ACR, AIUM)
Precept or support training of students and new technologists as assigned

Additional ARDMS credentials (e.g., AB, OB/GYN, RVT) preferred
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or RVS a plus
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
State licensure where required
