Job Summary:
The York, Maine location is seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer (Ultrasonographer Echo) for a travel assignment to support their Cardiology team. This position involves performing adult echocardiography procedures, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE), assisting physicians in interpreting diagnostic imaging, and ensuring patient care meets high-quality standards. The role requires collaboration with healthcare providers to deliver accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient experiences.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification as a Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI; proficiency in all imaging modalities of adult echocardiography; registered Cardiac Sonographer (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred with registry required within 1 year of employment; current BLS (Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider) certification; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred Qualifications: Registry as an R.D.C.S. or R.C.S. within 1 year of employment; experience with adult echocardiography procedures including Transthoracic, Stress, and Transesophageal Echo
- Additional Information: Must demonstrate technical competence in echocardiography modalities, maintain knowledge and competency as set forth by credentialing organizations, and follow hospital and practice standards of care. The position involves organizing exam rooms, setting up for procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, and providing patient education and advocacy. Strong teamwork and adaptability are essential to support the dynamic healthcare environment.
